  8. Bill Smith called the White House and asked to speak with the
  9. President. Mistaking the caller for Attorney General William
  10. French Smith, White House operators patched him through to Camp
  11. David. For the next 30 minutes, Reagan listened to Bill Smith
  12. from Pennsylvania rattle on about his mortgage payments and his
  13. family problems.
